Hi! Our names are Kyle and Makaya. We are a small breeder of designer Bernedoodles located in St.Joe, IN. We live on 5 acres with our 7 purebred Bernese mountain dogs, Bailey, Iris, Maggie, Lilah, Luna & Nova, our 2 purebred Miniature Poodles Theo & Finley, and our 1 F1 Mini Bernedoodle Briella.

At Pawsh Bernedoodles, we've been proudly raising Bernedoodles for over four years with a deep passion for quality, temperament, and care. Our puppies are known for their exceptional temperaments, making them ideal companions for families, therapy work, and loving homes of all kinds.
We are not a puppy mill. Our dogs are part of our family. Our adult dogs are raised with just as much love and freedom as our puppies. They are never confined to pens and have the space to roam, play, and live full, happy lives. We prioritize their health and well-being with annual veterinary checkups, regular grooming, and plenty of socialization.

We believe that a puppy's temperament starts with their parents, which is why our adult dogs are not only healthy, but also well-adjusted, friendly, and emotionally balanced. Their calm, loving personalities are passed down to their pups, creating the foundation for well-mannered and affectionate companions. We go above and beyond for our puppies, parents-and our clients.

We pride ourselves in making sure extensive health testing is done before breeding to ensure the health of your pup. All of our dams & sires are AKC registered, PENN-hips certified & DNA & genetically health tested.

 

From birth, our puppies are nurtured with early neurological stimulation, desensitization training, and daily hands-on interaction. Every step of the way, we are committed to giving each puppy the best possible start in life-mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Each of our puppies receives dedicated, individualized care and attention throughout the full eight weeks they are with us. They are never confined to kennels; instead, they benefit from a well-rounded routine that includes supervised outdoor playtime, socialization within our home, car rides, and time in a thoughtfully designed nursery equipped with a variety of stimulating toys. Beginning at just three days old, our puppies are raised using a structured, research-based 10-step handling program to promote healthy development, confidence, and strong human bonding.

 

Each puppy is raised on a strict health schedule that includes regular deworming, age-appropriate vaccinations, and a comprehensive veterinary exam with a signed health certificate prior to going home.

 

Once you’ve joined our waitlist, you’ll receive consistent updates from the very beginning of the journey. We share detailed information from the time the mother is confirmed pregnant, including ultrasound and X-ray updates, the birth process, and beyond. Throughout the 8 weeks, you’ll receive weekly photos and videos, along with insights into your puppy’s development, personality traits, milestones, and socialization progress.

You’ll be able to follow along closely via daily Instagram stories, posts, or text updates so that by “Choosing Day,” you’ll feel confident in selecting the puppy that best fits your family and lifestyle.

Beginning at 4 weeks of age, our puppies start potty training using either a grated tray system or a doggy door. By 8 weeks, they are fully accustomed to going outside to potty. Bernedoodles are exceptionally intelligent and adapt quickly, making early training both effective and rewarding.

Choosing Day takes place when the puppies are 5 weeks old-after they’ve received their first 5-way vaccine, completed a thorough veterinary exam, been microchipped, and had their professional photos taken. Families will select their puppy in the order that deposits were received.

If you’re local, we encourage you to visit in person to meet the puppies and their mama. For out-of-town families, we offer virtual Choosing Day appointments via FaceTime, along with detailed photos and videos to help you make an informed decision.
